If you saw 400 “geeks” running through the streets of Fairfax, Va., last month, it was to raise money ($10k to be exact) for the charitable arm of the Northern Virginia Tech Council. The organization has been raising funds for its Equal Footing Foundation for seven years by putting on street races. It funds, launches, and sustains “Computer Clubhouses” and forms partnerships with other orgs to solve tech access and adoption issues.
