Former CNN host Campbell Brown will launch a nonprofit, education-focused news site next month called The Seventy Four. The site name refers to the 74 million school-age children in classrooms across the US, reports the Wall Street Journal. Campbell said in an interview that “entrenched interests are standing in the way of some of the best possibilities for innovation.” She turned to advocacy after leaving CNN in 2010 and has stirred controversy with some of her views on reforming education.
