Association Says We Need Time Off

The US Travel Association really wants you to use your vacation time. (Don’t have to tell us twice.) The DC-based organization recently launched an initiative called Project: Time Off to prove the personal, business, social and economic benefits of taking earned time off. The association’s study last year found that Americans don’t use 429 million days of paid time off, costing the economy $160B that could go towards 1.2 million jobs in multiple industries. CEO Roger Dow says unused days off translate to overworked Americans who are stressed, unhappy, and less productive at home and work.
