Miami Multifamily Developer Looks to Chattanooga

Those secondary markets are looking better all the time, Miami-based Housing Trust Group CEO Matthew Rieger tells us. The company’s most recent expansion is into Chattanooga, where it’s almost finished with the development of the 120-unit Forest Cove Apartments. Chattanooga has become a magnet for big employers, entrepreneurs, and creative people, Matthew tells us—and apartment developers. There's always a risk of oversupply in any market, he adds, but astute developers can mitigate the risk, especially by knowing their target market.
