The Chapel In Holy Names University Is Part Of The Sale For The College.

CBRE announced last week that it will represent Holy Names University in the sale of its 58.6-acre campus nestled in the Oakland Hills. Holy Names University will cease operations in 2023. The campus has 14 buildings, including a gymnasium, a performing arts center, a library and a chapel.

CBRE’s Mike Taquino, Kyle Kovac, Joe Moriarty and Giancarlo Sangiacomo are marketing the property for sale, according to a press release.

SALES

Reyes Holdings, one of the largest food and beverage distributors in the nation, bought a 481K SF industrial building in Richmond for $140M, making it one of the largest commercial real estate transactions in the East Bay so far this year. JLL helped broker the deal along with Todd Severson and Greig Lagomarsino of Colliers.

A redevelopment site in downtown San Jose went on the market for $41M. The site is in the process of getting entitlements for a 274-unit residential building.

LEASES

Home Depot leased a 127K SF distribution center in San Jose from owner Overton Moore Properties. The 11-acre property includes a 110K SF office and research building, and will serve as a distribution center for the home improvement retailer.

Cushman & Wakefield announced law firm Shartsis Friese LLP leased 26K SF at 425 Market St. in San Francisco.

Dynamic Graphics Inc. will lease a three-story 48K SF office building in Lafayette, California, in a deal brokered by CBRE. The lease at 3697 Mount Diablo Blvd. means the company that provides geospatial solutions in the petroleum, environmental and Earth-related sciences will move its headquarters from Alameda to Lafayette.
