The Lincoln Square mixed-use development planned for the corner of Broad and Washington streets has passed Civic Design Review.
The 286k SF project is now all systems go to break ground in early 2017, although members of the CDR committee expressed some misgivings about the updated version of the project, according to Curbed. Among the concerns was the look of the bottom two floors of the main building, which will be devoted to retail.
The project will have 322 apartments above the two retail floors, and the historic train shed will contain a grocery store with glass windows while preserving the shape of the original structure. The renderings have been updated since its initial proposal, with inset balconies for some apartments among the additions.
Alterra Property Group and MIS Capital are co-developing Lincoln Square, and BLT Architects has been leading the design. [Curbed]
