The first phase of The Canary District urban village site in the West Don Lands is on schedule for completion at the end of 2014, well before the start of the Pan Am Games, scheduled for the summer of 2015, according to the lead developer. The site will serve as the athletes and coaches village, and will later be converted to condos. Dundee Kilmer Developments Ltd. President Jason Lester took people for a tour of the site last week, to show off the progress. Its being built very quickly, but the planning that went into this development was not rushed at all, Jason says.
