Mark's Mashup: Boston Meets San Francisco

Our roving publisher Mark Bisnow was on the ground in San Francisco this week, where today we're holding an event highlighting tech-frenzied neighborhood SoMa. It's also where Boston Properties and Hines recently broke ground on Transbay Tower, slated to be the West Coast's tallest building at 1,070 feet upon its completion. We shot this adjacent to where the tower will call home.

Work's also going on at 535 Mission, a siteBoston Propertiesacquired from fellow Bostonian Beacon Capital for $71M and will be home to a 27-story, Class-A, LEED Gold office tower.

If you don't want to do ground-up, here's 680 Folsom, a 48-year old,469k SF former AT&T building also acquired by Boston Properties, which as you can see is in the throes of redevelopment.

Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by thefertilizer plant blast in the town of West, Texas. Email susan@bisnow.com.
