Kevin Plank is founder and CEO of Under Armour. He is leveraging his considerable fortune in athletic wear for a foray into real estate development — starting with a 4M SF HQ for his company, which will be part of a massive mixed-use development called Port Covington, along Baltimore's waterfront. The project will include retail, hotels, office space and 9,000 residential units.

Plank played football at the University of Maryland, and after noticing his teammates had to wear clothing that stayed drenched in sweat, he developed a clothing line made from sweat-wicking fabrics and began selling them out of a basement. Under Armour is now the second-largest maker of athletic wear, trailing only Nike.
