Jorge Perez, an Argentinian immigrant born to Cuban parents, began his career as an urban planner, but grew to become one of the most powerful developers in the Sunshine State. He founded Related Group in 1979 with Stephen Ross, as an affiliate of Ross' Related Cos. He was only 28 years old.
Related Group has developed or managed 90,000 residences in South Florida since. It has a $15B development pipeline and is building more than a dozen condominium projects in South Florida. — Scott Klocksin
