Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi initially built his wealth in the heavily regulated Thai liquor industry and then through his own beer brand, Chang. The fortune he built in the beverage business allowed him to launch TCC Land Co. in the early 2000s.
The firm is now one of Thailand’s largest property developers and landlords, with interests spread across hotel, residential and retail assets. In 2013, he expanded his real estate empire by acquiring Singaporean conglomerate Fraser & Neave for $11.2B. — Scott Klocksin
