Yes, former Bisnow editor Margot Bisnow, here with her son Elliott and husband, Mark, has a new gig: book author! She’s starting her West Coast book tour at 6:30pm Sept. 8, at Diesel Bookstore in the Brentwood Country Mart. (Admission is free.) And she’ll be bringing a very special guest to join in the conversation—rising star movie director John Chu, one of the entrepreneurs she writes about.

Her book, Raising an Entrepreneur, is based on interviews with 60 entrepreneurs and their moms, a number from the LA area. She organizes her findings into 10 Rules, and in an easy-to-read style weaves in colorful stories of the entrepreneurs' upbringings to illustrate.

At book talks across the country, Margot will be bringing with her entrepreneurs she interviewed. For her LA talk, she's thrilled to have movie director John Chu (pictured with his mom), who has scored such recent hits as Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never, GI Joe, the Step Up series and Now You See Me 2.
