The Scottish Rite Masonic Temple, owned by the Marciano brothers, Maurice and Paul of Guess Jeans fame, is scheduled to reopen to the public later this month as an art museum.
The contemporary art space, known as the Marciano Art Foundation, will have 100K SF dedicated to the brothers' art collection.
The building, designed by Millard Sheets in 1961, had been vacant for years, the Larchmont Buzz reports.
Kulapat Yantrasast of wHY Architecture has renovated the temple.
The first two exhibits on tap include items from the Marciano brothers’ personal collection, and “the first West Coast institutional solo show of Jim Shaw, entitled ‘The Wig Museum.’”
Reservations for free tickets can be made on the Marciano Art Foundation's website. The museum is scheduled to open May 25.
