Apartments Underway Near Aviation/LAX Station in El Segundo

Here's a look at new elevations Fairfield Residential sent us for its transit-oriented project rising across the street from Metro’s Green Line Aviation/LAX Station in El Segundo. The six-story, 264-unit complex is being called Avaire South Bay.

Located in Del Aire, an unincorporated area of LA County, the project replaces the Wild Goose strip club, a 45-year local landmark, on a 3.3-acre site by bounded by Aviation Boulevard, Judah Avenue, and 117th and 116th streets.

The Aviation/LAX Station Metro station is one mile east of LAX and provides shuttle service to the Airport. A new $2.1B Metro extension that will connect this station to a new Metro station at LAX is under construction, with completion scheduled for 2019. [ULA]
