Apartment Building May Be Built On Colorado Boulevard In Eagle Rock

Colorado Equities is planning to build a 36-unit apartment building where the Sizzler now sits at 2530 Colorado Blvd. in Eagle Rock.

The building would include 6k SF of commercial space on the ground floor and 86 parking spaces.

Colorado Equities is requesting exceptions to the property's zoning to build a taller building than is currently allowed, possibly four stories at the most, the Eastsider reports. In return for the exemption, the developer would make three of the units available to tenants with lower incomes.

A public hearing is expected.
