New Hotel May Be Coming To Echo Park

Palo Alto Hotel, LA

Developer AJ Patel wants to build a hotel near Echo Park Lake.

The proposed project has been unveiled in an LA City Planning Commission presentation.

The four-story, 88-key hotel would be built on a 0.41-acre lot at 1625 West Palo Alto St, Urbanize LA reports.

Designed by Westwood's Gene Fong Associates, it would have parking for 51 cars and 24 bikes.

An office building used to be on the site until it was damaged in a fire four years ago.

There are no details yet about when the hotel could be built. [ULA]
