The new $200M, 12-story Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills, at the intersection of Wilshire and Santa Monica boulevards, is at the halfway point a year after breaking ground.
Developed by a team of investors led by Alagem Capital Group, this is the first Waldorf Astoria to be built on the West Coast.
Designed by Gensler and architect Pierre-Yves Rochon, this luxury hotel is a white-stone clad, Streamline Moderne-style structure, with horizontal lines and curving forms on the exterior, according to Urbanize LA. The interior is a similar style, featuring warm white stone with burnished bronze finishes and Lalique crystal installations.
The hotel’s 170 guest rooms feature private balconies, and floor-to-ceiling windows that offer sweeping views of cityscapes all around. Amenities include garden patios, a luxury spa and a spacious rooftop pool deck. [ULA]
