Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park London To Auction Its Contents

The Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park London will auction about 2,500 items of furniture, fixtures and fittings from the iconic hotel as its £85M renovation gets underway. The hotel will remain open through the transformation, in which all of the bedrooms and suites will be refurbished and the entrance, lobby and reception areas will be redesigned, according to The Caterer.

The spa will close in June 2017 for six months to allow for an expansion, including couples facilities and a "spa studio" concept for express beauty and grooming treatments.

The façade of the building will also be updated.

The sale will take place on 24-26 October in the Cadogan Suite Millennium Knightsbridge, 17 Sloane St, London. [TC]
