JW Marriott Grosvenor House Celebrates Its £8M Renovation With Garden Party

Park Lane’s first hotel, JW Marriott Grosvenor House London, celebrated its £8M public space renovation with a spectacular English garden party.

The new design celebrates the hotel’s rich history; it opened in 1929. The Ballroom, for instance, is inspired by the hotel’s former ice skating rink on which Her Majesty The Queen learned to skate. Here, the carpet has grooves cut through like the swirls of an ice rink.

The interiors take inspiration from Grosvenor House’s magnificent setting and views of Hyde Park, infusing the space with references to the natural world outside.

Actress Gillian Anderson was on hand for the soiree, as well as singer/actress Samantha Barks.
