St. Louis-based Sweetie Pie's is cooking up food that's good for your soul—and soon, Houston can enjoy it. The restaurant popularized in part by having its own show on the Oprah Winfrey Network is opening up a location west of the Loop in 2017. The 9k SF restaurant will open at 6356 Richmond Ave, a property owned by Kensinger Properties, reports the Houston Business Journal. The popular TV show Welcome To Sweetie Pie's started in 2011 and is in its seventh season. [HBJ]
