Cyrus One has launched another supersized data center on its Houston West campus. It broke ground yesterday on building three, which includes 428k SF of raised-floor capacity, 86k SF of Class-A office space, and up to 96 MW of critical load. It’ll be built in two phases, with Phase 1 consisting of a 321k SF powered shell with 214k SF of raised floor, 43k SF of office, and 48 MW of critical power. The first 54k SF data hall will open in early 2015. The campus along Beltway 8 now boasts over 1M SF of data center capacity. Kirksey handled design.
