Browns Will Donate Profits From FirstEnergy Stadium Pro Shop Sales To Community

The Cleveland Browns are donating all net proceeds from items purchased in the Pro Shop at FirstEnergy Stadium to educational initiatives and other neighborhood projects. The donations will be retroactive to April 1.

Browns owner Dee Haslam announced the initiative at John Adams High School recently. Adams was one of five schools in Cleveland to receive new synthetic turf fields and scoreboards from the team during the last two years.

The commitment will probably exceed $250K/year, according to Crain's Cleveland Business.

Customers at the FES store will also be asked if they want to round up the total of their purchase to the next full dollar amount. Funds from rounding will go toward school uniforms and supplies, the Browns said.

The donations are part of the Browns Give Back’s commitment to education and youth football. The Browns are thus far the only NFL team to dedicate pro shop year-round net proceeds to community initiatives.
