Do This: Transwestern's CRE Hackathon

When it comes to technology, real estate tends to lag behind the curve. That's slowly changing as firms large and small recognize how tech can give them a competitive advantage.

Transwestern is on board the technology wagon this weekend with CREForge, a three-day event that seeks to identify and leverage synergies between Chicago’s tech and real estate communities through the development of new tools and technologies to foster innovation in the commercial real estate industry.

CREForge will pair four companies—each with its own unique challenge—with a pool of dozens of developers and programmers who will form teams and collaborate to come up with creative solutions for each business. CREforge will also include social events; live product demonstrations that showcase the latest in virtual reality, 3D printing, software and more; and presentations by industry experts.

CREForge will be held at Transwestern's Midwestern HQ, 200 West Madison St.
