Hillwood Building a 747k SF Distribution Center in Joliet

Hilllwood Investment Properties bought 49 acres at Laraway Crossings Business Park in Joliet with plans to build a 747k SF distribution center. It's the latest in Hillwood's aggressive expansion of Chicago-area properties. Ross Perot Jr.'s group bought three properties in Tinley Park last month and another 39 acres at Romeoville's Pinnacle Business Park in June. The new building will feature 36-foot clear heights, 76 exterior docks, 72 trailer parking stalls, and 154 car parking spaces, according to Midwest Real Estate News. Hilllwood plans to build over 1.1M SF in industrial buildings along the I-55 and I-80 corridors. [MREN]
