The Chicago Plan Commission will review a revised plan to build a Nobu Hotel in Fulton Market tomorrow. Original plans called for a 12-story, 155-room hotel at the northeast corner of Randolph and Peoria streets. Residents voiced their concerns about the size of the project at a community meeting last month and developers reduced the size of the development to seven stories and 93 rooms. The plan also calls for a 10k SF restaurant and a penthouse, Crain's reports. If approved, the hotel would be built in a newly designated landmark district residents hope will preserve the neighborhood's character but opponents feel will slow development. Hunt's team still needs the site to be rezoned and hopes a donation to a city affordable housing fund or Chicago Public Schools Capital Improvement Fund will help. [Crain's]
