As the leader of the interiors practice for CBT, which has been changing the face of Boston for decades, Lois has followed the advice of her mother, Evelyn, that everything’s possible. She’s working on interiors for Goulston & Storrs, Compuware and WeWork. In doing big projects like Liberty Mutual’s new HQ and home office expansion, she introduces the human scale through use of design and materials that allow people to adapt their work environment to their own preferences. She found commercial real estate not long after graduating from Cornell when she was the in-house designer for the emerging Crate & Barrel stores. At CBT for nearly 30 years, she can be creative working with people who have trusted her with great responsibility. Advice: seek a company with a culture of opportunity.
