Massachusetts: Top Innovation State

Massachusetts is the most innovative state out of the 10 "leading technology states," according to a new report by the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative.

The commonwealth is a leader in eight of the 11 sectors the collaborative uses to define the innovation economy. Among other things, the Boston Business Journal reports, Massachusetts is home to a large concentration of research institutions and software firms, an array of startups, and major tech company HQs, all of which contribute to the ranking, and all of which support tech-heavy submarkets, such as Kendall Square.
