Booze delivery service Drizly ranked Back Bay as Boston's "Thirstiest Neighborhood." And while drinking at home alone has its merits, we wanted to let you know where everyone else is going when they need to close a deal or let off steam in Back Bay. Where: 439 Tremont
What's the deal: This southwestern tapas joint is where you'll find Boston's best margarita, according to Boston Magazine. Also check out the Banderita, a traditional Mexican three-part shot with fresh lime juice, Agave Blanco tequila and homemade Sangrita. Bonus: stop by for brunch. It's one of the best in the country, according to OpenTable.
2) The Rattlesnake Bar and Grill
Where: 384 Boylston St
What's the deal: This is the go-to spot for a great rooftop. In fact, Venom, as the rooftop is called, usually has a line. There's also a small dance floor and a great DJ. Patrons have a choice of 30 tequilas, 34 brown liquors, 44 craft beers and more than 15 specialty cocktails. Bonus: On hot summer days they bring out the mister, which is both cooling and just plain cool.

What's the deal: This hole-in-the-wall tavern with a bright red facade offers over 20 taps; rotating cask beers; ten 20-ounce bottles; and more than 20 bottles from local, regional and global breweries.

What's the deal: This popular Irish watering hole offers cheap booze, a dance party and great pub fare. Check out the Bloody Jerk, a spiced-up twist on the Bloody Mary with a stick of beef jerky. And if you have enough drinks in six months (tallied on your Dead Author's Card), you can join the exclusive mug club.

What's the deal: This bar made a comeback in 2013, thanks to new owners who kept it as is. Frequented by locals and college students from MIT and Man U, this low-key joint mixes two floors of taps with pleasant distractions like darts, board games and skee-basketball. And on Wednesdays, you get a free cheese pizza with each pitcher.
Where: 226 Newbury St
What's the deal: If you're looking to taste some good wine, this tapas-style Italian eatery is the place for just about anyone. It has a huge selection of wines by the glass and by the bottle, each with a card detailing facts like its origins and flavor notes.
Where: 909 Boylston St
What's the deal: Come as you are, low on cash and all, to the Pour House, where you can get triple-patty burgers and 22-ounce draft beers for $5 a pop. Oh, and on Saturdays the burgers are half off. It's the place to go when all the other bars shut down at 1am, and during weekend brunch when you can enjoy giant mimosas and Bloody Mary's with pumpkin pie pancakes.

What's the deal: This two-story bar fits the typical upscale Back Bay vibe, but it's not pretentious at all. It's the perfect spot to grab drinks after work, with an eclectic group of people and knowledgeable bartenders. The top floor is more formal while downstairs is a more intimate atmosphere.

What's the deal: This Southern barbecue joint boasts sports paraphernalia, neon beer signs, red paint, exposed brick, flat-screen TVs and random pictures for a laid back, easy-going vibe. Enjoy arcade games like Buck Hunter and promotions like 99 cent pizza, half-off appetizers and 15 cent wings.

What's the deal: This Irish pub and sports bar is the birthplace of Red Sox Nation. It's also the nation's first sports bar and home of the Royal Rooters, the first Red Sox fan club. They're into everything from baseball to boxing to football, so grab a beer, sit back and cheer on your favorite team.
