The Boston Redevelopment Authority has signed off on Normandy Real Estate Partners and Harbinger Development's plans for a 225-room hotel on Parcel 9, a site that became available because of the Big Dig.
The hotel would face the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway and be near the Haymarket T stop. Originally the development partners proposed a 10-story structure, but have scaled it back to five or six stories, plus an attached one-story retail pavilion, the Boston Business Journal reports.
The property will be designed by Perkins+Will. [BBJ]
