Boston: Really Good For Singles

Boston’s the No. 5 best city out of 150 in the nation for singles, based on a WalletHub analysis of such metrics as the number of single people, nightlife options per capita, and online and mobile dating opportunities. (Something for all those Millennials coming to town to remember.)

Where Boston shines the most is in “dating opportunities”—No. 1—which measures the share of singles in the population, gender balance and online dating opportunities.

In the “economics of dating” category, Boston's an expensive place to go on dates, coming in at No. 141, a little more expensive even than San Francisco, which is No. 1 on WalletHub's overall list. The worst city for singles? Brownsville, TX.
