Brookfield Property Partners has acquired the “jewel-box” building at 15 Broad St in the heart of Downtown Boston.

The company purchased the distinctive 10-story, 73,500 SF building from Broder for $33M. CBRE/New England’s Capital Markets team repped the seller and procured the buyer in conjunction with AustralianSuper Pty.

TIAA has purchased a six-building portfolio in Fort Point from Clarion Partners for $225M. The portfolio includes 33-41, 34 and 44 Farnsworth St, 332 and 374 Congress St, 263 Summer St and a 16-space parking lot at 38 Farnsworth.

Mesirow Financial has purchased Alta Stone Place, an apartment community in Melrose, from Wood Partners for an undisclosed price. The community consists of 212 luxury units, and features amenities including a heated swimming pool and resident lounge.

Leasing

Hackman Capital Partners and Calare Properties have tapped JLL as the exclusive leasing agent for Riverview Business Park, a 130-acre business campus at 495/515 Woburn St in Billerica. The campus is located less than a mile off I-495, and recently underwent a multimillion-dollar renovation.

Duffy Properties has selected Colliers International to manage the leasing efforts for 78 Blanchard Rd, a Class-A office building in the Blanchard Woods office park in Burlington. The five-story mid-rise building is along the Route 128 corridor, and features on-site amenities, including a fitness room and cafeteria.

Air Inc. has re-upped its 20k SF lease at Forge Park in Franklin. The fluid power distributor has made its home at the property, which is owned by Exeter Property Group, since 1991. Colliers International repped the tenant.

Catalog and e-commerce company Potpourri Group is preparing to relocate to its newly built 450k SF facility off Interstate 495 in Littleton. The company plans to close its current facility at 355 Main St in Whittinsville (pictured) this June.

Cambridge is preparing to nudge developers into providing more affordable housing in the city. City Manager Richard Rossi has filed a proposal with the city council that would require developers to set aside between 17% and 20% of new buildings as affordable units.

CeQur has announced plans to double the size of its Marlborough facility to 25k SF in anticipation of company expansion. The company specializes in simple insulin infusion for people with diabetes, and is preparing to hire an additional 100 employees over the next two years.
