Yesterday afternoon at Bisnow's second annual National Harbor conference,Jon Peterson of the megaproject's developer, Peterson Cos, and MGM Resorts International's Kenyatta Lewis (with Linowes and Blocher's Midgett Parker, left) say it's premature to give details, but others speculate the area could be in store for a billion-dollar resort with thousands of slots, hundreds of gaming tables, and more than a thousand hotel rooms, not to mention 4,000 new jobs and tens of millions of dollars a year into state coffers. Of course, voters and gaming authorities still have to approve, and National Harbor isn't the only place in the county that could host a casino. |
