More women are taking on powerful roles in New York City real estate than ever, and to recognize their growing influence, Bisnow's annual event celebrating the female leaders in the industry is back for another year.

You had to be NIMble in 2024, and this year's New York Power Women Event recognizes the industry's navigators, innovators and mentors. Amid challenges in development, financing, legal, leasing, design, construction and other segments of the industry, women across the city continued to navigate, innovate and mentor others along the way. 

The honorees will be recognized at an award ceremony and cocktail reception on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at a location yet to be announced. The winners will be chosen by a steering committee consisting of industry luminaries: BGO's Abbe Franchot Borok, Hunton Andrews Kurth's Laurie Grasso, former Citi executive Linda Foggie, RXR's Whitney Arcaro and Invesco Real Estate's Lesley Lisser.

“2024 has been one of the most unique and complicated years our business has confronted — full of challenges and opportunities. It is inspiring to see how many talented, strategic women in leadership positions in our industry are navigating these times and arriving at successful solutions,” Arcaro said in a statement on behalf of the steering committee.

“We’ve been thrilled to see nominations submitted highlighting not only the exceptional business leadership of our female peers, but also their commitment to community, and their commitment to mentorship and providing learning and growth opportunities to the next generation of leaders.”
