Meet Bisnow’s 46 Women Leading Real Estate In NYC

Bisnow’s annual event highlighting women’s leadership in the commercial real estate industry is back again next month, ushering in the holiday season and celebrating the sector's hard-won successes despite the adversity many faced throughout 2023.

A total of 46 women from all different parts of the industry are being honored. A steering committee evaluated dozens of nominees based on their track records of success on challenging and ambitious projects, especially amid the headwinds faced by industry over the past year. This year's committee was made up of BGO’s Abbe Franchot Borok, Citigroup’s Linda Foggie, RXR Realty’s Whitney Arcaro, Invesco Real Estate’s Lesley Lisser and Hunton Andrews Kurth’s Laurie Grasso.

Commercial real estate remains a male-dominated industry, with women making incremental gains in leadership positions. Women hold 26.2% of roles in the C-suite at the industry's largest companies, up from 25.6% in 2022 and 23.5% in 2021, according to this year's Bisnow analysis of the industry.

Despite the obstacles facing New York City’s commercial real estate sector, individual women’s contributions pushed deals across finish lines throughout the year. The women chosen reflect the industry’s continued evolution as scars left by the pandemic heal. Bisnow will celebrate these honorees at the New York Women Leading Real Estate cocktail event on Dec. 12. More information about the event and tickets are available here.
