STAN THE MAN

Contrary to our headline, neither of these gentleman is named Stan. Meet Ed Breslin of Stan Johnson Co's LA office and firm prez Phil Baxter. We snapped them at a client party in the Marriott Marquis' 48th-floor View restaurant. Phil tells us the net lease company has six offices now (including the new NY and Atlanta ones), has another one to announce soon, and would like to open two others this year.
Stan Johnson's NY team of Josh Pardue, Tom Georges, Camille Renshaw, and Jason Maier, along with Harold Briggs, who oversees the East Coast offices (Atlanta and NY), tell us 10- and 20-year net-leased properties are outselling other properties because they're secure investments (credit tenants that are household names like Dollar General, CVS, and in one recent sale, the UN Building). Camille says banks are driving the longer terms, and Tom adds that tenants also appreciate the ability to plan long term.
