NEWS FLASH: FUN GOES ON
Last week, despite the world falling down all around, the cool kids on the New York real estate scene gathered at Marquee (once the club in NY, and now host to after-work events) to schmooze (but certainly not booze). The event was sponsored by the Young Real Estate Professionals of NY and MyDealBook.com, the interactive directory for commercial real estate insiders—sort of the LinkedIn for industry nuts who can't get enough.

Christine Collister is the Marketing Director at Jordan Parnass Digital Architecture, a firm specializing in retail. One of their biggest clients is American Apparel, and the firm just opened the retailer'sfirst green store at 610 9th Ave. in Hell's Kitchen. Collister strikes us as quite ambitious—this Sunday, she's embarking on a 50-mile bike ride on the coast of New Jersey with bikenewyork.org, and in the next six months, plans to start production on a side project—a documentary on her mother's hometown, Neville Island, Pennsylvania. She's joined by Tara ShoenHolz, who does marketing and graphic design for the firm, but we know nothing about her bicycling habits.

We thought this blue-tie brigade purposely coordinated their outfits, but they claim to have met only two minutes before we snapped the photo. To the left is Jason Zegans, the lawyer of the bunch, with new pals Adam Camhi and Mark Toubin, both associates at Murray Hill Properties. Is blue the new yellow?

Group shot! We had to take this about four times until everyone approved. On the left we have Stephanie Rodriguez from Horizon Land Services, who's excited to leave the hustle and bustle of the city next weekend to do a hayride and apple picking at a New Jersey farm. She's joined by Jennifer McDermott of Scher Financial Group, Heidi Young of Corcoran and Lisa Nickerson of ALN Capital Services. The lucky men are Victor Colon of Allstate andBrian Shulman, a private mortgage broker at Wells Fargo.
