New Gym Created For Moms And Moms-To-Be Who Want A Real Workout

A new fitness concept wants to provide new moms and moms-to-be with a quality workout and a like-minded community of peers.

FPC, which launched recently in Manhattan, offers typical cardio, yoga and strength training classes, though each class is designed specifically for women who are pregnant or recently gave birth.

The gym aims to help women determine the best way to work out during and after pregnancy in order to prepare for childbirth and reconstruct the body after the fact, Fast Company reports. FPC is currently taking up residence in a loft in SoHo with neighbors including Aritzia and Bliss Spa. But in addition to being a fitness studio, the space is also used as a place where women can meet and gather information from workshops and events about topics such as breast-feeding and infant health.
