Remodeled Bath & Body Works Stores Fuel Growth for L Brands
After noticing remodeled stores are creating a 25% boost in sales, Victoria's Secret owner and retailer L Brands is upping the ante.
L Brands is planning to open 39 new Bath & Body Works stores next year, and remodel 150, most of which will incorporate White Barn candle shops, a brand the chain quietly revived last year.
With so many remodels, L Brands is defining its growth by total SF rather than store count, Columbus Business First reports. Bath and Body Works will grow by 3% this year, and is projected to grow by 5% (minus closures) next year.
Martin Waters, president of L Brands International, says there is international interest in White Barn, and they will begin testing the brand overseas in 2016. [CBF]
