There's also a lot of demand for retail space in Coral Gables, but not a huge supply. (It's Christmas and we need stuff!) Recently Epicure opened a location on the first floor of Gables Ponce, a mixed-use property by Gables Residential at 4711 LeJeune Rd. The 24k SF store includes a 240-seat restaurant and cooking demonstrations and classes with specialty chef Michael Love. According to Gables Residential SVP Joe Wilber, more retail is coming to the development early next year when Jennifer Nicole Lee's workout facility, JNL Fitness Studio, opens. Phase 2 of Gables Ponce, which will include 119 units and 24k SF of office space, is underway.
