El Segundo Office Building To Get Frank Gehry's Touch

A new creative office building in El Segundo is being designed by Frank Gehry.

The one-story, $50M project, named Ascend, will be 80K SF, the LA Times reports. It is being built by NSB Associates, whose founder, Larry Field, is a longtime friend of Gehry's.

Ascend will be the sixth building in a creative office complex at the site. It will be raised up above 280 spaces of ground-level parking. It will draw in natural light through skylights and windows and have 16K SF of outdoor balcony patios.

Ascend is expected to open to tenants in Q4 of this year.

JLL managing director Mike McRoskey, executive vice president Blake Searles, vice president Evan Moran and senior vice president Jason Fine are handling the leasing.
