Stylish Apartments to Replace Dingy Lots in Echo Park

A 121-unit apartment building is planned for these less-than-picturesque lots in Echo Park, the Eastsider reports. The six-story development on Boylston Street from Lion Boylston LCC and LA Urban Homes will include studio, one- and two-bedroom units running from 600 SF to 1,300 SF. Eastsider says the project will include 15% units for very low income tenants, giving the developers the vaunted density bonus.

The complex is in line with the changing demographics of Echo Park, sitting across the street from the snazzy Edward Roybal Learning Center. There are several other projects planned or underway in the trendy neighborhood, and investment dollars are coming in. As we exclusively told you last month, Vista Investment paid $15M for a 90-year-old mixed-use it plans to freshen up.
