The fire last week that destroyed the 526-unit Da Vinci was indeed an act of arson, according to the LA Times. The development from Geoff Palmer on West Temple has been less than popular in the city, with some upset about its massive size and a proposed pedestrian bridge connecting buildings in the complex (Geoff was worried about how residents would deal with homeless people under the freeway). The Times reports the ATF was brought in to investigate the blaze, and authorities are now seeking two potential witnesses, though no suspects have been named. The development was to span an entire city block and total 1.3M SF.
