Oceanwide Plaza, a mixed-use project underway in South Park, aims to offer unique amenities while also focusing on the community.

"We want to provide a level of lifestyle that doesn't exist in the downtown LA market," Oceanwide Plaza Senior Manager, Public Relations Daniel Atwater said, referring to the property's luxury residences. "I want to talk to my guys in Beverly Hills, Century City, Newport Beach and tell them it's OK to come down here."

Atwater gave an update on Oceanwide Plaza at Tuesday's Bisnow LA Construction and Development event.

Chinese developer Oceanwide Holding's project will include three towers that consist of a 184-room Park Hyatt Hotel, 504 residences and a two-level, open-air galleria with approximately 166,500 SF of retail. The approximately 1.5M SF development takes up an entire city block between 12th and 11th streets.

A 35K SF LED screen will wrap the property, and there will be more than 231,800 SF of open space.

The project, which Lendlease is building along with Swinerton Builders, is striving for LEED Gold certification.

Oceanwide Plaza is scheduled to be completed in 2019.
