Australian Developer Picks Up Another Midtown Parcel East Of Main

Caydon Property Group has purchased its second Midtown tract, a 41K SF parking lot bounded by Dennis and Fannin, next to the old Greensheet building along Main Street's light rail line. Renovation of the property will include offices, a restaurant and rooftop event space designed by Midtown natives Studio Red Architects, the Houston Chronicle reports. Caydon is also planning a 26-story, $200M high-rise residential tower one block south along Main Street at 2850 Fannin. Both developments will be east of Main Street, which has been criticized as a barrier to Midtown's booming development.
