Enchanted Rock Leases First Building At Prologis Industrial Park
Prologis inked a full-building lease with an on-site power generation and microgrid solutions company at its master-planned industrial development.
Enchanted Rock leased a 407K SF building under construction at Legacy Point, Prologis’ 350-acre business park at 18501 Mound Road in Cypress. This is the first building located on the forthcoming campus. Prologis broke ground on it early last year and anticipates completion in March.
Prologis plans to break ground on another 1M SF cross-dock warehouse this month, the Houston Business Journal reported, followed by two other buildings totaling more than 900K SF. Legacy Point is expected to eventually have up to 11 warehouses totaling over 5M SF.
The new space will expand production capacity for Enchanted Rock, which uses natural gas generators to supply power during the construction of data centers as well as for other purposes. The Legacy Point location will be a dedicated assembly, production and testing hub for its natural gas generators, according to a news release.
“The Legacy Point location enables us to manage supply chain risk and deliver the power flexibility and resilience our customers rely on — while balancing long-standing customer commitments with growing large-load demand,” Enchanted Rock Chief Operating Officer Paul Froutan said in a statement.
Enchanted Rock also leases 115K SF from Prologis at 20702 Hempstead Road, also in the Northwest Houston area, per HBJ. Colliers’ Robert Alinger and Wes Williams represented Prologis at Legacy Point.
