Amazon Finalizes Plans For Fulfillment Center In Hines Business Park

Placeholder

Houstonians have been eagerly awaiting news of Amazon's move into Houston. Yesterday, the Harris County Commissioners voted to provide Amazon with a $180k/year tax abatement for 10 years as an incentive to move forward with its plans for a Houston fulfillment center, reports the Houston Chronicle.

Hines' 971-acre Pinto Business Park will be the home of Amazon's 855k SF facility, which'll cost Amazon $136M to build. Once completed, the center will employ 1,000 people. Welcome to the jungle, Amazon. [Chron]
