Greater Houston Partnership Plans Innovation Arm Aimed At Attracting Venture Capital

The Greater Houston Partnership has launched an Innovation Strategy Office aimed at growing Houston's innovation economy.
The organization outlined details for a fund that would provide cash to other funds that would help entice venture capital to move to the city. A specific size for Houston's fund has not been determined, and money for the fund has not begun to be raised, GHP innovation roundtable chair Gina Luna told the Houston Business Journal.
In his recent State of the City address, Mayor Sylvester Turner spoke about the need to focus on innovation to tap into the city's potential.
