Ileana works in the Cloud Operations + Innovation CTO office at Microsoft, focusing on enabling and scaling next gen platforms into Microsoft's Data Centers. Prior to joining Microsoft, Ileana worked for the Data Center Engineering team for LinkedIn, focusing primarily on energy efficiency and operational cost saving measures. Before that, Ileana worked for a sustainability consulting firm, and Amazon Web Services' Data Center teams. She has a B.S in Mechanical Engineering and M.S. in Sustainable Design.

Christopher is a Senior Program Manager with Microsoft. Prior to joining Microsoft, he was the Director of Data Center Services at Expedia, responsible for infrastructure support delivery to all Expedia brands including Expedia, Travelocity, trivago, Orbitz, Mobidata, Wotif.com, Traveldoo, Ebookers, CheapTickets, Hotwire.com, Hotels.com, etc.

Mr. Neil started his career 28 years ago as Electronic Technician at the US Navy, he worked nearly a decade at MAJIQ, before he took on the role of GIS – Infrastructure Platform Services Manager at Expedia where he succeeded for 6 years. He then became promoted to Manager, GIS – Infrastructure Capacity Management, Service Delivery Sr. Manager and now Director Data Center Services for Expedia Inc. With nearly three decades of solid track record, serving some of the most mission critical applications.

Mr. Neil brings valuable expertise to IDCA’s Technical Standards Committee. His expertise and duties include but are not limited to managing data center operations ensuring 99.999% availability for all critical infrastructure, data center space planning, capacity and forecast modeling, developing and maintaining a 5 year Expedia data center strategy supporting trending and capacity management modeling, strategy planning and development of roadmaps for data center strategy, establishing operational standards, processes, intake and auditing programs in support of data center operations, selection, development and evaluation data center staff, and more.

Hunter Newby is an American entrepreneur, investor, conservationist and the owner of Newby Ventures. His primary field of interest has been network infrastructure. As Co-Founder, Chief Strategy Officer and a Director of Telx, he pioneered the carrier-neutral Meet-Me-Room and the development of carrier hotels and data centers in the United States leading to massive value creation and economic development throughout the Country. Since the sale of Telx he has been and continues to be a founder, developer and investor in the creation of multiple network-neutral infrastructure businesses all across North America.

Mr. Newby is a recognized authority in the network-neutral interconnection and data center industry. He has served on multiple company boards, is a published author, public speaker and has been quoted in several publications including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times and USA Today. He has also been the recipient of numerous awards including being named to the Global Telecoms Business Top 40 Under 40 in 2010.

Mr. Newby earned a B.S. in Communications from Drexel University.

David Mace is a Managing Director of GI Partners. He has investment responsibilities for, and currently serves on the boards of Flexential and Far Niente Wine Estates. While at GI, Mr. Mace previously served on the boards of Duckhorn Wine Company, PC Helps, The Planet, The Telx Group, SoftLayer Technologies, and was a board advisor for ViaWest. Prior to joining GI Partners, Mr. Mace was with Palladium Equity Partners in New York and with J.H. Whitney in New York and San Francisco, where he served on the boards of Ariat International, Hard Dollar, and Physicians Surgical Care, and was a board advisor for Brooks Sports. Earlier in his career, he worked in investment banking at Bear, Stearns & Co. in New York.

Jason C. Reed brings more than 20 years of real estate experience in complex global real estate transactions, law and management to Carter Validus. As Chief Acquisitions Officer and Senior Vice President, Data Center Investment Management, Mr. Reed provides the strategic vision to turn business goals into actionable plans with appropriate risk management. As acting Principal of Longview Real Estate Advisors, a full service advisory firm to the data center and telecommunications industry with a focus on mission critical real estate assets, he was responsible for the firm’s acquisitions, leasing and management strategy. Formerly the Senior Vice President, Global Real Estate at Equinix, Inc., Mr. Reed was accountable directly to the Chief Development Officer and Real Estate Committee of the Board of Directors for the allocation and investment of $2 billion annually across 22 countries and 44 metropolitan areas. Notably while at Equinix, Mr. Reed successfully implemented a global real estate administration program with coordination across several stakeholder groups including the regional Presidents, Tax, SEC accounting and Audit.

Prior to Equinix, Mr. Reed served in various roles at Level 3 Communications, most recently as Vice President, Global Real Estate and Facilities, where he was responsible for the strategic planning, investment and management of 23 million square feet of global real estate consisting of over 10,000 properties across North America, EMEA, and Latin America.

Mr. Reed received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, followed by earning his Juris Doctor and Master of Laws in Taxation at the University of Denver.

John directs activity for Sabey Data Centers’ three million square feet of mission critical space held in the current portfolio, as well as new development, acquisition and the creation of new service offerings. He also serves as Senior Vice President of Real Estate for Sabey Corporation, overseeing the commercial real estate portfolio comprising office and medical technology space. His business career started in Chicago with Prudential Real Estate Investors and he joined Sabey Corporation in 1995.

David Dunn is COO of H5 Data Centers. Mr. Dunn has nearly 15 years of experience managing significant growth and delivering outsized returns on investment in the Internet infrastructure space. Mr. Dunn most recently served as vice president at the Zayo Group where he was responsible for managing the wavelength and mobile infrastructure business units. Prior to Zayo, Mr. Dunn was senior vice president at CoreSite where he held leadership roles in mergers & acquisitions, leasing, marketing and strategy. Before joining CoreSite, Mr. Dunn held roles at several private equity firms including The Carlyle Group and J.E. Robert Companies. Mr. Dunn earned a B.S. in Finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

John Sheputis is a Co-Founder and Managing Director at Primary Digital Infrastructure, an independent data center investment platform. From 2019 through 2023, John was a Managing Director at GI Partners where he led the technology real estate acquisitions and headed the Essential Tech + Science Real Estate Fund. Prior to GI Partners, Mr. Sheputis was President of Infomart Data Centers. In 2018, the Dallas Infomart was acquired by Equinix and the remaining Infomart assets and operations were acquired by IPI Partners to be the initial properties for STACK Infrastructure. Prior to Infomart, Mr. Sheputis was Co-Founder and CEO of Fortune Data Centers. Mr. Sheputis received a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA and an MS Engineering from Northwestern.

Dan Stoll is senior vice president of Dark Fiber Solutions West Region at Zayo. Dan joined Zayo as part of the company’s Electric Lightwave acquisition in 2017. At Electric Lightwave Dan led the company with a focus on delivering network solutions to large enterprise, government, education and wholesale customers, while driving the company’s strategic fiber assets and differentiated support model. Dan joined Electric Lightwave in 2000 as a business manager with the company’s Utah operations and held a range of leadership roles including vice president of customer operations and senior vice president of strategy and development.

Dan graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in business from Westminster College and earned an MBA from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business.

Patrick Fiel is SVP, Corporate Development, at EdgeConneX, the only global data center platform focused exclusively on the Edge and Hyperscale. Patrick has nearly 20 years of experience negotiating corporate development, legal, real estate investment trust (REIT) and capital markets transactions. At EdgeConneX, Patrick leads global corporate development and mergers and acquisitions (M&A), including responsibility for structuring and executing EdgeConneX’s corporate strategies and growth initiatives. Previously, Patrick was with Equinix, the world’s leading interconnection and retail colocation data center provider. He also has served as a public company general counsel/ chief legal officer, an in-house counsel to a large financial institution focusing on global corporate investment banking, and as a capital markets advisor while at a multinational law firm. Patrick graduated from the College of William & Mary (where he has taught International Business Management as an adjunct professor) and the University of Tennessee College of Law.

Michael Boyle is the Strategic Planning Director for the Westin Building Exchange located in Seattle Washington. He has held a variety of positions with the WBX since 2001. With over 19 years of experience in data center infrastructure, telecommunications, and information technology, Mr. Boyle has worked in virtually every aspect of data center design, development, and construction. This includes physical site planning, lease contract negotiation, bandwidth vendor selection, and hardware acquisition / installation. In addition, Mr. Boyle has experience overseeing complex, multimillion dollar, contracts in foreign countries for the U.S. government. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Business Economics from the University of California.

Dave Vranizan joined The Benaroya Company in 1998. He serves as Director of Property Management and VP of Data Center Leasing, Centeris. With more than 27 years of experience in the real estate industry, Vranizan’s combination of skills in both construction and property management align with The Benaroya Company’s owner management philosophy.

Dave spent eight years in commercial construction as an Estimator / Project Manager for shell and core construction, civil development and tenant improvements and the following 19 years working for owner-developers in the property management roles of Construction and Property Manager.

Dave is Past Chairman of the Building Owners & Managers Association Seattle King County, and a member of NAIOP, AFCOM, 7x24 Exchange, and Cascadia Region Green Building Council.

Vranizan graduated from Central Washington University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management.

Steven Lim is Senior Vice President of Marketing and Product at RagingWire Data Centers, responsible for the strategic direction of the company’s Product Management and Marketing teams.

Over his career, Steven has led marketing teams to generate significant revenue growth and enterprise value. He has built corporate brands, shaped the customer experience, and structured unique go-to-market solutions.

Prior to joining RagingWire, Steven served as a Customer Marketing Leader at LinkedIn and Vice President/Head of Marketing at Vantage Data Centers, where he was part of a senior executive team that increased the company’s valuation five-fold. Previously, Steven had management responsibilities at Equinix, McAfee and Cisco.

Mr. Lim earned an MBA from the Graziadio Business School at Pepperdine University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley.

Casey joined Infomart Data Centers in 2016 to build out Infomart’s solution design and implementation disciplines. He is an expert in understanding customer requirements and being able to identify a solution to meet their needs. Casey has a 20-year history in supporting, planning and managing information technology initiatives. Immediately before joining Infomart Casey spent 10-years with ViaWest where he was instrumental in building the Oregon market and was the lead solution engineer for the Pacific Northwest and Northern California. His experiences in managing IT Teams and corporate data center initiatives has given Casey the ability to address the real-world concerns of Infomart’s customers. Casey has a BA in Business Management from the University of New Mexico.

Bill Hunter is the Principal Consultant and Owner of TBHE Consulting, a Washington State-based consultancy focusing on Data Center Site Assessments, Design Assist, and Operational Review. Bill is a veteran of Amazon Web Services, The Walt Disney Company and AT&T Wireless Cingular. Miles Loo Jr., CRE, FRICS, joined Newmark Valuation & Advisory in 2017 in the Downtown Los Angeles office, where he serves as Vice Chairman and the Global Lead for Newmark Valuation & Advisory’s Data Centers & Life Science group. Miles is well recognized as the industry’s leading appraiser of data center properties. His experience includes advising private equity funds, institutional investors, large pension funds, Fortune 500 companies, cloud companies and Global IT conglomerates on investments in all types of data centers, including mission critical, disaster recovery data centers, colocation facilities, carrier hotels, internet gateways and life science properties. These assignments have involved data centers owned and/or operated by Fortune 500 companies across numerous industries as well as Uptime Institute Site Certified Tier III and Tier IV facilities; U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) LEED Platinum, Gold and Silver buildings; and state and federal disaster recovery data centers. Emily Naughton focuses her practice on transactions in the telecommunications, media and technology space, with an emphasis on cloud computing.  Emily has represented clients in connection with real estate acquisitions, development projects and leases, mergers and acquisitions involving cloud service providers, and telecommunications network infrastructure deals.  Emily has represented some of the world’s largest content providers globally in connection with network procurement and colocation and data center leases involving providers ranging from multinational companies to single facility operators. Emily has experience representing property owners in the acquisition, financing and development of real estate; landlords and tenants in a variety of short- and long-term leases and subleases; and developers on complex land use and permitting matters. Sean Suzuki is a Project Executive and leader for the Advanced Technology-Mission Critical

Core Market group at DPR Construction, one of the top technical builders and data

center/telecom contractors in the U.S. (ENR 2017).

With more than 30 years of experience, Sean works with DPR business units on the west coast to

enhance overall project delivery and quality of service for the company’s mission critical

customers, which include industry leaders such as Digital Realty, Equinix and CoreSite. Sean

monitors all aspects of the projects, from preconstruction through construction. He also develops

and strengthens relationships with current and new customers.

His previous 23 years of experience working for a design/build data center contractor (overseeing

both design and construction) gives him a unique understanding of the construction, renovation

and commissioning of complex data center projects.
