Mehrdad Moayedi has been a fixture in the construction and development business for more than 40 years, observing the real estate and market trends of North Texas to consistently drive business success. In 1990, he established Centurion American Custom Homes and has taken on executive duties as president and CEO of Centurion American Development Group.

Centurion works closely with cities, investors, community members and key stakeholders to engage in real estate projects covering all areas of development spanning residential master-planned communities, commercial properties, mixed-use projects, and hospitality assets. More than 200,000 lots have been developed spanning approximately 75,000 acres in more than 300 premier developments since its inception. Under Moayedi’s leadership, Centurion American was recently awarded “Best Real Estate Deal of 2024” by the Dallas Business Journal for the company’s largest development to date, Legacy Hills in Celina, TX. A host of other local, regional, and national accolades have been given over the years for notable

projects, community involvement and leadership in the industry. Moayedi himself has received the John Harbin Visionary Award for his dedication and impact in Tarrant and Denton counties.

Scott Beck

Scott Beck has helped finance billions of dollars-worth of high-profile projects throughout the country. Mr. Beck was also instrumental in the development and design of Trophy Club, a 2,400 acre master planned city in Texas. Legacy projects are his passion, hence his vision for the 430 acre Dallas, Texas district, “Dallas Midtown” which includes the $4 billion redevelopment of Valley View Mall.

Mr. Beck has worked at some of the top financial institutions in the country. As an Associate Vice-President at JP Morgan Chase and Co.’s Lab Morgan, he focused on new business formation and corporate strategy for the bank globally. Prior to joining JP Morgan Chase, Mr. Beck was a member of SG Cowen’s leveraged Finance Group, where he provided support to clients who access the high yield and leveraged finance capital markets. Preceding SG, Mr. Beck was a senior auditor at Ernst and Young LLP.

Mr. Beck received a Masters of Accounting from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin where he completed his B.B.A. Mr. Beck is a member of the Board of Directors of United Texas Bank and is President of Beck Properties Trophy Club.

Additionally, Mr. Beck serves on the boards of various educational and charitable organizations.

Since founding Todd Interests in 1990, Shawn has led the firm in acquiring and developing profitable and

successful properties across the United States spanning a broad and diverse category of product types.

Todd Interests development projects have been the subject of National Public Radio (NPR) broadcasts;

won numerous Historic Preservation awards, a Telly award, a NAHB Pillar of The Industry award, A/E/C

Topping Out Visionary Award and other numerous accolades. The University of Virginia's, McIntire

School of Commerce utilizes Todd Interests projects in numerous case studies each semester as part of

their real estate curriculum.

Shawn has previously served on the executive committee of The Real Estate Council, as Chairs of both

the Public Policy Advisory Committee and the Political Action Committee. He also sits on the Downtown

Dallas Inc. advisory board. Additionally, Shawn has been very involved in the Thomas Jefferson

Foundation, having most recently served as the 2017-2019 Summit Chair for the Monticello Cabinet.

Shawn is a 1985 graduate of Baylor University's Hankamer School of Business with a BBA in

Entrepreneurship, Real Estate and Finance. He and his wife, Cheryl met at Baylor University and are

celebrating their 35 th  year of marriage. Both are active members at Watermark Community Church.

Monte Anderson is President of Options Real Estate Investments, Inc., where he has spent

more than 30 years partnering with cities and economic development organizations to revitalize

underperforming properties and create sustainable, tax-producing neighborhoods.

He specializes in incremental, phased development that reduces risk while building long-term

community value. As a founding member of Neighborhood Evolution, Monte also works to help

cities cultivate local developers and strengthen their economic ecosystems.

His projects including Wheatland Plaza, Tyler Station, and Main Station Duncanville have

received regional and national recognition for their impact on community revitalization and

economic development.

Garrett as its President and CEO in January 2022. Garrett

joined the Partnership from Downtown Dallas, Inc. (DDI),

where she served as President and CEO for nearly seven

years.

With 25 years of experience in developing livable

communities, Garrett is fueled by her passion for cities. Her

expertise is rooted in building social, cultural and economic vibrancy, creating places for

people that provide access and opportunity for all. Garrett has expanded her work

nationally and internationally through research and participation in the International

Downtown Association, German Marshall Foundation, Brookings Institute and the

International Business of Cities. She has published through many of these

organizations, working toward the health and vitality of city centers across the globe.

Stephen M. Modory currently serves as the Co-Managing Partner at Champion Partners. Prior to joining Champion in 1993, Mr. Modory was a portfolio manager for Trammell Crow Ventures, where he participated in the acquisition, investment, management, and capitalization of two closed-end real estate opportunity funds that included numerous commercial real estate product types, including office, industrial, retail, multifamily, hotels, land, and debt/mortgages. He started his real estate career at Trammell Crow Ventures as a Financial Analyst and after two years was promoted to being an Acquisitions Associate. Mr. Modory is a Current Member, Founding Member, and Past Chair of the Office Development Council of ULI, and currently serves as the Chair of the North Texas District Council of ULI. He is a past Board Member of The Real Estate Council of Dallas, a past Board Chair of their Foundation, and a past Member of their Government Affairs Committee. He is a Current Member and Past President of the North Texas Chapter of NAIOP. Mr. Modory earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with distinction from Stanford University.

group for DPR Construction in Dallas-Fort Worth.

With more than 20 years of industry experience, Roel has led estimating and preconstruction

efforts for a variety of markets including healthcare, advanced technology, commercial office

buildings, higher education, and mixed-use facilities with notable clients such as Facebook,

Charles Schwab, Children’s Medical Center, Capital One, Texas Health Resources, Red

Development and Granite Properties. Roel excels in the areas of managing preconstruction

teams, Target Value Design, preliminary pricing, and Design Management. He actively assists

project management personnel with securing subcontractor pricing, procurement and regularly

meets with Owners and Architect teams to review pricing.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science from Texas A&M University.

Bret Farrar is the Founding Partner and CEO of Sendero, a management consulting firm with expertise in Strategic Planning, Technology Enablement, and Organizational Effectiveness.

His leadership and dedication to encouraging employees to find purpose in everything they do has empowered Sendero to build an award-winning culture, recognized by placing three times on the Dallas Morning News Top 100 Workplaces list and winning a top-10 place on the 2017 Glassdoor Best Places to Work list.

Bret speaks frequently on values, culture, and employee engagement to various groups. Steve is a Preconstruction Leader within DPR Construction’s Central Region, responsible for

successfully delivering a range of projects across multiple core markets for various clients

nationwide, including advanced technology / mission critical, healthcare, higher education, life

sciences, corporate offices, hospitality, commercial, and government.

Steve’s extensive and diversified industry experience crosses all stages of a project life cycle. His

specialities include cost estimating, project management, procurement, contract negotiation,

contract law, construction management, scheduling, planning, business development, project

controls, and value engineering.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying from Leeds Metropolitan University.

Prior to joining DPR, Steve was a Project Controller at Novartis and Construction Consultant at

TBD Consultants, both in the San Francisco Bay area. He holds memberships with the Royal

Institution of Chartered Surveryors (RICS),American Society of Profes-sional Estimators (ASPE),

American Society of Heating Refrigerating & Air Conditioning (ASHRAE),The US Green Building

As Senior Director of the Certification and RF Design group at SOLiD, Lakshmin Thiagarajan oversees both industry training and design engineering of commercial, operator and enterprise grade wireless systems. Wireless connectivity has certainly become the next building utility and engineering an efficient solution is absolutely imperative which Lakshmin has helped implement in a variety of different roles in his decade long career in the wireless industry. He has worked closely with operators and vendors deploying wireless solutions across many global regions including the Middle East, Europe and Latin American markets, while simultaneously educating the industry with his expertise and certification programs.

Tom Leppert has a distinguished record of accomplishment that includes high profile, successful leadership positions in

both the private and public sector. His professional experience spans developing major strategic initiatives for corporate

clients as a Principal with McKinsey & Co., managing large international companies in the role of CEO in a range of

industries, leading a major US city as the elected Mayor and serving as a White House Fellow.

From 2007-2011, he was the elected Mayor of Dallas, Texas. Mr. Leppert aggressively pursued policies that dramatically

improved the quality of life in Dallas. In the areas of public safety, economic development, education and the

environment, Dallas emerged as one of the focal points in the nation. In public safety, he directed a major expansion of

the police force, which resulted in nearly a third reduction in both violent and total crime during tenure. During his

tenure, he also guided major new investments in the areas of infrastructure, tourism and hospitality. He was actively

involved in education, pioneering several innovative programs. He was widely recognized for instilling a professional,

supportive and business-focused approach. Mr. Leppert also directed a major reform of ethics standards and practices

and successfully led two major referendums. He served on the Executive Committee of the US Conference of Mayors.

Leppert has led major national and international corporations in the areas of construction, financial services and

banking, homebuilding, real estate and education. He served as the Chairman/CEO of The Turner Corporation, the

nation’s largest general building company, with over 7000 employees and 46 offices throughout the nation and

international operations throughout Europe, Asia and the Middle East. During his tenure, revenues grew from $4 billion

to over $9 billion. Total returns during his tenure surpassed the cumulative returns of the previous 97 years of the

company. He led the entry into new markets and the implementation of a product focused organization to improve both

marketing and product delivery. In addition, he guided the establishment of new enterprises in insurance/risk

management, logistics and education/training among others. Most recently, he was the CEO of Kaplan, Inc., leading the

global multi-billion dollar educational services company with over 22,000 employees.

Previously, Leppert was Vice Chairman of Pacific Century Financial Corporation and its major subsidiary, the Bank of

Hawaii; President and CEO of Castle & Cooke Properties, Inc.; and a National Partner at Trammell Crow Company. He

began his career at McKinsey & Co. where he was elected a Principal.

Leppert served as a White House Fellow in 1984 under President Ronald Reagan, working both in the Office of the

Secretary of Treasury and the Office of Policy Development in the White House. He holds an MBA with Distinction from

Harvard Business School and graduated cum laude from Claremont McKenna College.

He currently is Chairman of the Board of Austin Industries in Dallas and two “Silicon Valley” based companies and is

involved with several other entrepreneurial enterprises.

A lifelong community volunteer, he has served numerous community groups and charitable organizations on both the

local and national levels. Leppert has chaired the West Dallas Community School, the Greater Dallas Regional Chamber,

Hawaii Business Roundtable, the Bishop Museum, the leading natural history museum in the Pacific and the DCFR. He

has also served on the boards of the US Chamber of Commerce, National Building Museum, Baylor Healthcare System,

Dallas Zoological Society, Dallas Citizens Council, Claremont McKenna College and Harvard Business School Alumni. He

was appointed by President George W. Bush to the White House Fellows Commission.

He is a noted speaker and has appeared regularly in the media, including FOX News, FOX Business, CNN, CNBC and

others. He has been recognized nationally for his leadership, including “CEO of the Year” by D Magazine, the “Texas

Businessman of the Year” by the Texas Association of Business, the “Torch of Conscience Award” from American Jewish

Congress, the Russell H. Perry Free Enterprise Award from Dallas Baptist University, the George Benson Distinguished

Alumni Award from Claremont McKenna College and “The Global Cross Millennium Award for Corporate Environmental

Leadership” from Global Green. He has also been inducted into the “Energy Efficiency Hall of Fame” and the “Dallas

Business Hall of Fame”.

He and his wife Laura live in Dallas. They have three children and are members of First Baptist Church Dallas, where he

serves as a Deacon and on the finance committee and Pastor’s Leadership Council.

Walt Zartman is Senior Vice President of Hillwood Urban, where he overseas

and pursues the implementation of landmark development opportunities

throughout the North Texas region.

Mr. Zartman recently completed the development of the Turtle Creek Office

project, a consolidation of the Perot Companies into a campus headquarters

located in Uptown Dallas. Current developments in design are of Class A

office projects in Victory Park and Turtle Creek as well as a new landmark

skyscraper adjacent to Woodall Rodgers Freeway in Downtown Dallas, In

2012 Mr. Zartman completed his role as the project officer for the iconic Perot

Museum of Nature and Science, a 170,000 square foot, $190 million project.

The project opened ahead of schedule and under budget, and has become

one of North Texas’ most important entertainment and educational attractions.

Prior to joining Hillwood Development, Mr. Zartman served as Vice President,

Investments & Development for Crescent Real Estate Equities in both

Houston and Dallas. At Crescent, Mr. Zartman was the development officer

responsible for 5 Houston Center, a 580,000 square foot Class A office tower

and the re-development and “re-branding” of The Park Shops, a 290,000

square foot retail center in downtown Houston, Texas. In addition, Mr.

Zartman was the development officer in charge of a 250,000 square foot Class

A office building in Las Vegas, Nevada as well as the 590,000 square foot Ritz

Carlton Hotel and Residences in Dallas, Texas.

Prior to joining Crescent, Mr. Zartman served as Vice President of

Development for Hines in Dallas, Texas. During his 14-year tenure with Hines,

Mr. Zartman was responsible for the development of more than 900,000

square feet of Class A office space (including Galleria North in North Dallas

and Computer Associates Plaza in Plano) and for the acquisition of projects

in the southwest region of the United States. Mr. Zartman was also

responsible for the day-to-day asset management of a 2.3 million square foot

office portfolio in Dallas, Texas and of approximately 594,000 square feet of

properties located in San Antonio and Austin, Texas, as well as Albuquerque,

New Mexico.

During his more than 30 year career, Mr. Zartman has been directly

responsible for the development and construction of more than 3.7 million

square feet, representing in excess of $1.1 billion in value.
