In 2008, I qualified as an architect graduating from University College Dublin. I worked in Dublin, Brussels, and New York as an architect on a range of projects from housing to institutional schemes, most notably the University of Greenwich School of Architecture and Construction for the University of Greenwich, London for Heneghan Peng architects. In 2013, I completed a master’s in business administration at Trinity College Dublin and following that worked for Salesforce as a solution engineer covering their UK SMB business, a fortune 500 CRM company in the tech sector. Following that, I now work at our family residential property development business Winterbrook who have completed housing recently in Westminster Wood, Foxrock, Sika Woods, Enniskerry and currently delivering 94 apartments in Dalkey, Co. Dublin. I have recently become a member on the committee for the Irish Home Builders Association.

Friedrich Georg Warmbold is Head of Investment Management Residential for Europe at Union Investment Real Estate, a department which was newly established in 2021.

In this role, he leads a team of four specialised residential investment managers who are responsible for residential acquisitions and sales in Europe (ex DACH), working in close cooperation with Union`s local offices in London and Paris. Friedrich has been working for Union Investment since October 2014. After starting as a Junior Investment Manager responsible for office transactions in Ireland and Spain, he handed over market responsibility for Spain in 2017 and was responsible for the UK and Ireland as a Senior Investment Manager until 2021.

Brian is responsible for developing Hines’ Ireland projects. He established the Hines platform in Ireland which currently has more than €2.3 billion of retail, office and residential assets under management, in addition to a major development pipeline which includes an additional €500 million of retail development and over 4,000 residential units. He re-joined the firm in 2011 having previously worked with Hines in Russia in the 1990's. In between, he ran his own successful development management and investment advisory firm based in Dublin which focused on large urban regeneration, university campus developments and housing PPP projects. Brian is a graduate of Architecture from the Dublin Institute of Technology and obtained an MBA at the University of Chicago. He is a trustee of ULI Europe, a National Council Member for Ireland and chairs the Irish Architecture Foundation.

I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at Trinity College Dublin, where my primary research areas are housing markets, urban economics, and economic history. I am particularly interested in long-run housing markets, in order to better understand current housing experiences such as rapidly increasing housing costs in many high-income cities. In addition, I am a Research Associate at the Spatial Economics Research Centre in LSE and author of the Daft.ie Reports on Ireland’s sale and rental housing markets. I am also a Board member of the HEA, Honorary Secretary of SSISI, and on the organising committee of DEW.

I am an active contributor to the policy debate, especially on the topic housing in Ireland. Most of the articles I publish either in my weekly column for the Sunday Independent or as commentaries for the Daft.ie Report are subsequently archived here. With the Trinity Online Education team, I also run an online course in the Economics of the Property Market. The course is aimed both at professionals, including policymakers, who work day-to-day with housing but who may not have the economics background, and at the general public.

Barrett advises developers, contractors, consultants, insurers and funders all construction law related issues from initial structuring advice, procurement strategy and funding, contract negotiation and resolution of disputes that arise both during and after the construction phase of a project is completed. His depth of expertise and experience allows him to get to the root of an issue quickly and advise clients on a pragmatic, commercial, approach to resolution of issues in a timely manner. Barrett has acted, and continues to act, acted for many of the leading developers of commercial property in Ireland.

Mick has over 22 years’ experience of working in the built environment sector between Dublin and London and is a qualified Town Planner and Urban Designer. Mick began his career working in the regeneration team for the London Borough of Haringey before joining the Greater London Authority to work for the Mayor of London in 2007. During this time Mick worked on multiple large-scale regeneration projects including the London 2012 Olympic Games and the regeneration of both Croydon and Tottenham. Mick then spent 5 years working for a Mayoral Development Corporation including setting up the Corporation and overseeing plans to deliver 25,000 new homes and a new HS2 rail station at Old Oak and Park Royal (OPDC). Mick left his role as Interim Chief Executive of OPDC in 2019 to return to Ireland where he worked as Director for Planning and Transport for South Dublin County Council. In this role Mick led the Council’s regeneration work at Clonburris, Tallaght, Adamstown and City Edge and he set up and oversaw the Council’s ambitious Cycle South Dublin Programme to deliver significant improvements in South Dublin’s transport network.

Patrick Phelan is the Managing Director of Ballymore in Ireland – a real estate professional with broad experience in real estate in the UK, Ireland and the US, acquired over a twenty-five year career.

During his tenure, Ballymore has created new headquarters for major corporations and institutions including the Central Bank of Ireland, Microsoft, and the National Treasury Management Agency.

Patrick along with his team were responsible for a forward fund of 435 units in 8th Lock, the last piece of the puzzle in Royal Canal Park in Ashtown, Dublin.

Under Patrick’s leadership Ballymore acquired a landbank for over 4,000 units in Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare, including Sea Gardens, Seamount Rise, Stonehaven, River Walk, Aster Park and Station Walk.

Phelim is Head of Property of the Land Development Agency since its inception in September 2018 and has significantly developed and grown the scale and range of projects of the Agency in that time, including the delivery of the Shanganagh Castle scheme with DLRCoCo, the regeneration of St Kevin’s Hospital in Cork City and the redevelopment of the CMH, Dundrum. As part of the role he is responsible for the sourcing, acquisition, planning and pre-construction of a wide range of projects across the GDA and all the regional Cities. Phelim has over 20 years’ experience in senior property and development roles in both the public and private sector as well as delivery of large scale infrastructure programmes. Phelim is a graduate of University of Galway (BEng) with post graduate qualifications in project management, construction law and corporate finance.

Peter Bradshaw is Development Director at Greystar Ireland with extensive experience managing real estate development projects across Ireland, UK, and Australia. Peter is responsible for overseeing the full development lifecycle of new rental housing assets, from sourcing and acquisition to project delivery and completion. He is experienced managing client side for private equity and public clients across small, medium, and large-scale mixed use, commercial, hospitality, industrial, logistic, and primarily residential developments. Peter is a chartered SCSI Surveyor and chartered MRIAI Architect with a proficiency and great interest in real estate development, investment, the construction industry, sustainability, and design.

With 15 years of experience in the UK residential property sector, Tracy has spearheaded consultancy and mobilisation for leading developers such as Quintain, Berkeley Group and Taylor Wimpey. She has overseen some of the UK’s largest Build-to-Rent projects. Now in her role at PrepayPower Tracy is an expert at delivering strategic utility and smart-meter solutions at scale, Tracy brings high-level insight to her clients, offering solutions that ease the burden of utility management and enhance operational efficiency in large-scale multi-unit rental developments.

Niamh Harrington is a Portfolio Manager at Round Hill Capital, overseeing more than 5,000 residential and PBSA units across Europe. Her experience spans the full lifecycle of real estate, from ground-up construction through to stabilised assets, with a focus on operational enhancements, asset repositioning, and long-term value creation. Niamh has worked across multiple European markets, leading initiatives in leasing, capex, ESG integration, and performance optimisation, bringing a hands-on approach to aligning local operations with investor objectives.

With over 19 years’ experience investing across asset classes, Adam is a strategic

thinker with a strong background in asset allocation strategy, portfolio construction

and risk management.

Adam is co-founder and Director at SW3 Capital, a specialist Real Estate Investment

Manager who are committed, driven and highly focused. Through consistent delivery

of sector-leading returns and almost €2bn AUM, SW3 has built a reputation for

excellence and is recognised as a potent alternative to less dynamic managers.

In recent years, Adam has taken the lead in establishing and growing SW3’s PRS

Adam graduated with a Masters in Finance from Smurfit Graduate School of

Galen is serial entrepreneur with global business experience.

He started his career in hotel property management applications,

became a pioneer in customer relationship management solutions

and has two decades of experience focusing on the needs of the Irish

PRS and Multi-Unit Development (MUD) sectors.

As BuildingLink Ireland’s Managing Director, he is responsibible for

implementing a world-class PRS Operating Platform to more than

10,000 residential units in Ireland with proprietary technology that

integrates it into many Irish stakeholders to improve the resident

experience and meet Environmental Social Governance (ESG)

objectives.

Galen is also a non-executive director and trustee of the Irish

Landmark Trust both in the Republic and Northern Ireland.

Ciarán is head of Real Estate and co-founder of Elkstone. With over 25 years’ experience in Real Estate, he has developed deep expertise in all aspects from planning & construction to banking & law. He is involved in sourcing and leading property and Proptech opportunities right through to the delivery of developments. Ciarán is a graduate in law from Harvard Law School (LL.M) & Balliol College, Oxford (B.C.L.) where he was a Scatchard European Scholar.

John Jacobs is Global Head of Capital Markets ​at GSA, where he ​manages both
